Tagless labels eliminate neck irritation
Utilitarian shirt taking inspiration from the U.S. military A.L.I.C.E. carry system, fitted with multiple front pouch pockets and internal carrying straps. The back features Maharishis house camoflage pattern, DPM: Bonsai Forest, rendered in hand-machined embroidery inspired by traditional Japanese Sashiko stitching.
DPM patterns are a key part of Maharishi's exploration of camouflage. They serve to reclaim its identity from military use and remind us of its peaceful origins in art and nature. The new seasonal DPM: Reflective Sparse Bonsai serves as an updated take on the original signature Maharishi pattern, DPM: Bonsai Forest, which was conceived in 1999 and depicts symbols of peace and nature such as bonsai trees growing from heavenly clouds. Its release also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the DPM encyclopaedia an in-depth exploration of camouflage as an artistic form.
